How do I set up an account?
Simply click the Login link at the top of the page, and then click Register. Once you have created your user profile, we will send you an email confirmation to activate your account. Click the link in the email and you'll be traveling the Sherpa way in no time!
I lost my password!
If you forgot your password, click on the Login link at the top of any page, and then click the Forgot Password link. Sherpa will email you a password to the email address in your profile.


Payment:
How do I pay for my booking on Sherpa?
All payments for reservations are processed using our secure peer to peer payment system. You must have a PayPal account to pay for your reservation.
Do I have to pay a security deposit?
No, Sherpa does not allow hosts to collect a security deposit for your booking. However, please check with your hosts if you have any questions or concerns.

How much does it cost to list my homestay or vacation rental on Sherpa?
It's free to list your vacation rental, apartment or extra space on  Sherpa. Our innovative online booking engine eliminates messy paperwork and the back and forth mailing of rental and deposit checks. Each time a traveler books your space, Sherpa charges the host a small SherpaFinder Fee.
How much does a Sherpa Home Exchange membership cost?

How do you make sure my payment information is safe and secure?
All payment information is safely and securely handled via encryption technology on secure servers.

Do you share my personal information?
We will never share your personal information outside of Sherpa without your consent. Please visit our Privacy Policy page to learn more about how we safeguard your personal information. We only use your information to help facilitate connections between you and other users, hosts, or home exchange members.
Can I manage the communication I receive from Sherpa?
All communication preferences are controlled via the account settings within your profile. Simply edit your settings as needed. You may unsubscribe from Sherpa marketing emails and special offers by changing your account settings in your user profile.

How do I contact hosts or vacation rental homeowners?
If you would like to contact a homestay host or vacation rental homeowner, simply send them a message through the Sherpa messaging system. Sherpa hides the contact information to protect the privacy of the host. Once a booking has been approved, you will receive a booking confirmation message that includes the contact information for the host.
How do I contact other Home Exchange members?
You must be a Sherpa Home Exchange member to contact another member directly through Sherpa. To learn more about Sherpa's Home Exchange program or to become a member, visit the Home Exchange page.
